Swedish Summer

I finally got my first real Swedish midsummers experience at my friend’s family home in the south of Sweden. Amanda and Agnes introduced me to their holiday traditions about two years ago in Paris where we sat in a garden tying flowers together and eating strawberries. This year we spent it in a lot of sun (quite unlike a typical Swedish midsummer’s day), paddle boarding, picking flowers, and eating…

Morning coffee with our first bunch of flowers

agnes showing little Moa how to make her crown

and of course some strawberries and ice cream while we worked

amanda’s grandpa wanted to make sure that I got the full midsummer’s experience and prepared this plate of cured and smoked salmon and herring just for me!

And of course a big bowl of fresh strawberries and cream to wash everything down
