It’s June in Paris and it’s finally feeling a lot more like summer. To celebrate this joyous season, a few friends of mine decided that it would be a good idea to have a picnic at the Luxembourg gardens.
We didn’t have time to plan what we were each going to bring, but of course, great minds think alike: 2 bottles of Rosé, baguettes, sandwiches, charcuterie, cherries, strawberries, macarons and other finger foods.
When it came time to open the bottles, our Russian friend asked if we had a knife. “How are you going to open a bottle of wine with a knife?” I asked. “Like this.” she said, chopping the neck of the bottle with her hand. “Wow, you’re really Russian.” said my Swedish friend.
It was a perfect way to welcome summer and end the week. Can’t wait for more this season!
