Cooking Outside the Book

Here’s a video that I made to celebrate Merry White’s (or Corky’s) Cooking for Crowds 40th anniversary. It was a night filled with fun, laughter and delicious food cooked by some of the best chefs in Boston!

Chef Susan Regis of Biba and Upstairs on the Square, Mike Fitzhenry of Mike and Patty’s, Rembs Layman of Tupelo, Jared Forman of Strip T’s, Lucy Valena of Voltage Cafe and Irene Li of MeiMei Street Kitchen all cooked their versions of a recipe from Corky’s cookbook to feed a hungry crowd of food writers, bloggers and friends.

I took Corky’s Food and Culture Anthropology class a year ago and I’ve looked up to her as a mentor ever since; I admire her dearly. If you don’t know who she is, she’s the one with the great, big, blonde hair!
